Steel structure workshop is widely used in coal engineering because of its light weight, superior seismic performance, flexible structure layout and fast processing and installation speed. When the construction of the steel structure workshop has been completed, and the initial investment has not been done well, then how can we prevent the foundation sinking of the steel structure workshop

The steel structure workshop foundation usually uses the separate foundation, according to the eccentric compression design. Simply put, it is reinforcement, all the steel structure columns are circled with I-beam or channel steel to form a mesh.

For the portal frame steel structure workshop with low height and no crane, the connection between the column base and the foundation is usually designed according to the hinge joint. The top surface of the foundation is only subjected to the vertical pressure and horizontal force generated by wind load. The additional eccentric moment of the foundation bottom caused by horizontal wind load is small, and the foundation design is relatively simple.

For the portal frame steel structure workshop and steel bent structure workshop with high height and bridge crane, especially when the crane tonnage is large, in order to effectively improve the anti lateral stiffness of the structure and control the lateral displacement, the column base is usually designed as transverse rigid connection and longitudinal hinge joint.

The longitudinal horizontal load of the powerhouse is transmitted to the top of the foundation through the support between columns. In the horizontal direction, because of the light weight of steel structure, long natural vibration period and relatively small horizontal earthquake action, the horizontal load which plays the control role is usually the crane horizontal braking load plus wind formula, and the axial force of the two poles can not be equal. Based on the theory of elastic stability, the formula is suitable for cross inclined bars with the same length and section.

When we are in the construction of the steel structure workshop, the steel structure manufacturer will take corresponding measures to prevent the plant from sinking. At the same time, the construction personnel will timely find problems and make rectification according to the environmental factors, so as to ensure the construction quality.
